The SHA-1 algorithm is being hard-pushed by recent evidence that it is vulnerable to collision attacks. This talk discusses the impact these developments have on Cryptographically Generated Addresses (CGAs), which are -- as currently standardized -- intrinsically tied to SHA-1. It also discusses how IETF is trying to salvage CGAs.
